Shipping and payment conditions

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

If your order is being shipped to an address in the UK and shows free shipping we will dispatch it using Royal Mail 48 Hour post (previously called Second Class post).  We pack your orders each evening at 4pm, so orders received by 4pm are released to Royal Mail the following business-day morning. The shipping date will consequently be the day following that shown on your confirmation email in most cases.

 
Expedited delivery will follow the same approach, but is sent by First Class post.  We do not offer a tracked service.
 
Delivery dates are estimated dates, and are not guaranteed.  The "Deliver By" dates provide you with a date-range that the order is expected to be delivered.  An order is not considered lost until the period of time determined by Royal Mail, which is ten working days for UK Mail or 20 working days for international post.
 
Some items are too large to fit through a letterbox, so please keep an eye out for the Royal Mail red card informing you that you have a parcel.  If you have not received your parcel within a few days of us confirming dispatch, please check with your local Royal Mail delivery office as we have found that they often are holding it for you.
 
We find that on too many occasions Royal Mail fail to leave a "Something for You" card.  Please check with your local Delivery Office regardless of whether you have received a card or not.
 
If your item is held for you by Royal Mail, and you do not collect it, Royal Mail will return it to us after 2-3 weeks.  In these circumstances we will refund the order price less 10% restocking fee with a minimum of £2.  Note if you have paid for expedited delivery this part will not be refunded.
 
We stock all items listed on the website, but sometimes, where there is exceptional demand, there may be a delay while we re-stock.  If this is the case then we will contact you to let you know and give the option to wait for the item to be re-stocked, or arrange for a credit for those items. 

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
 
Payment
 
It might be churlish of us, but we do require payment for the goods that you purchase from us.  Sometimes we make a mistake with pricing, so in these cases we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you in full.
 
We accept payment in many different ways, but you don't actually own the goods until payment has cleared, even though we might send them to you before that has happened.
 
If you are a Company, or government body, you can opt to open a credit account that allows you a month before payment needs to be made.  Get in touch with us if this is an option you would like to take, and you qualify.
 
We charge VAT at the current rate - which is 20%.
